May 14th

The nitrogen cycle is when the plants photosynthesize during the day and produce oxygen that then the fish breathe producing carbon dioxide for the plants to repeat the same process. During the night the carbon dioxide levels are high because the plants aren't able to photosynthesize because the sun is not out so the fish are using up all the oxygen and leaving carbon dioxide. Then there is bacteria that helps to. If we did not have all the components to the nitrogen cycle it would not work the same and eventually the fish and plant population would decrease.
