Dissolved oxygen is the amount of dissolved or combined oxygen in a concentrated amount of water. To perform a dissolved oxygen test there is a dissolved oxygen test kit that you can buy that contains a good amount of test. The first thing to do is fill the glass test tube up with water from your tank. Then break the end off the glass test tube in the bottom of the small beaker provided. Then wait two minutes so the water can fully process and then compare the color to the levels provided in the kit. The level should not be below 3.
