Since we took a tank that already was set up we did not have to do anything with setting up the tank. We did have to do a lot of cleaning of the tank though. First we cleaned the glass to remove all the scum so the glass was clean. Then we cleaned the sand with a tube and filtered out the dirt into a bucket. After that we used the dechlorinator to clean the water.
